South Eastman Health/Santé Sud-Est is committed to meeting or exceeding your expectations for health programming. When you use a service or program within the region, you have the right to receive service in a timely and respectful fashion.
The RHA has an active commitment to quality improvement and risk management. There are 12 quality improvement teams in the region representing every program and service provided in the region. Through the Quality Improvement Program, the RHA is working towards continuously evaluating its services by measuring outcomes, comparing the region’s approach to others in the health field, and seeking out “best practices” which can be adopted in the region.
In the event that you have concerns about the service that you have received through any of the RHA’s programs or facilities, we would welcome being made aware of your comments. If you have questions, concerns or suggestions, please speak to the person who has provided you with the service or their supervisor. If you are not satisfied with the response you have received, the RHA has a formal
concerns process
you can pursue.
The RHA owns and operates four hospitals and three personal care homes in the region and offers seven health-related program areas. Additionally, there are four personal care homes in the region which are contract facilities. They receive funding from the RHA and operate according to the RHA’s standards, but they are not owned by the RHA.
There is one area of medical service for which the RHA is not responsible and that it does not fund. Fee-for-service doctors are paid directly by Manitoba Health, and they operate their clinics independently of the RHA. However, we work closely with these doctors to ensure information is exchanged and health issues are addressed. The RHA does have a number of contract doctors located at the health centres in Vita and St. Pierre-Jolys. These doctors are paid by the RHA.
