There are seven personal care homes in the region – three are owned and operated by South Eastman Health/Santé Sud-Est, and four operate under service contracts with the RHA.

Bethesda Place , Steinbach; Repos Jolys, St. Pierre-Jolys; and Whispering Pines Lodge, Vita are RHA-owned. Villa Youville, Ste. Anne; Rest Haven Nursing Home, Steinbach; and Menno Home, Grunthal are not-for-profit faith-based institutions while St. Adolphe Nursing Home, St. Adolphe, is privately operated.

To enter a personal care home, a person must be assessed by the RHA’s assessment panel .

All personal care homes must operate according to provincial standards. Fees are set by the by the Province of Manitoba and are income-related.
